Day 1: LIMA
Reception and welcome at the airport in Lima and transfer to the selected hotel.
Colonial City Tour in Lima.
We will start by picking up all our participants from their different hotels in Lima, and then start with a small visit to the Intihuatana Park, established on the Malecón of Miraflores, where to appreciate the magnificent Pacific Ocean. We will continue our tour of the residential districts in the modern areas of Miraflores and San Isidro, we will have the opportunity to observe the Huaca Pucllana, pre-Inca ceremonial temple in the shape of a pyramid that despite the urban expansion of Lima has endured.
We will continue the tour to continue to the Parque del Olivar and the Financial Center of Lima, and then visit the Historic Center of Lima, named by UNESCO in 1991 as a World Heritage Site Cultural of the Humanity, where the Spanish crown, founded the center of the colony in the sixteenth century, where the first colonial buildings were built.
We will be dazzled by the magnificent Plaza de San Martin, old balconies and old mansions, the Plaza Mayor and its most prominent buildings such as the Palace the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop's and Municipal Palace, the Desamparados Station and a lot more.
In between the tour, we will have the opportunity to visit one of the most highlights of the 17th century. Place where in spite of the time the relics of the three Peruvian saints most prominent, Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martin de Porres and San Juan Macias,
Then we will return to Miraflores, where we will finish the tour, the option to stay in the Indian market, Larcomar or return to your hotel, it will be at your discretion.

Day 2: LIMA - CUSCO (FREE DAY)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will go to the airport in Lima.
Flight Lima - Cusco (extra and optional)
Reception and welcome at the Cusco airport and transfer to the hotel of your choice.
You will have the day off to acclimatize rest or enjoy the beautiful streets of the city center.
Day 3: SACRED VALLEY
Breakfast at the hotel.
We will start the day by picking up our participants from their hotels in Cusco, we will visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas which is located on the bank of the Vilcanota River, we will visit the Inca citadel of Pisac, where we will appreciate platforms and architectural structures located on the slopes of that place and at the top of the mountain, we will return to the traditional village of Pisac to visit the Indian market, where we can learn about the customs of its inhabitants.
We will have lunch in one of the traditional restaurant located in Urubamba on Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the afternoon, we will visit the Fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo, erected to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it of invasions of the people from the eastern jungle. On the way back to Cusco we will visit the Picturesque traditional village of Chinchero, where the remains of the royal Tupac Inca hacienda are located Yupankee. We will appreciate its very well preserved Inca Walls in the main square and you will appreciate the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes in the portico, built on the foundations of an Inca construction.

Day 4: CUSCO – INKA TRAIL TO KM 104.
Meals: Box Lunch and dinner.
Accommodation: Overnight in Aguas Calientes town. (Hotel on request)
Distance: 16kms/10 mls (6 hours more or less of hiking)
Walking Time: Approximately 6 hours (including picnic lunch en route)
Walk and Terrain: Walk, canter on open roads, some steep ascending trails
Transfer in a transport from Cusco to the train station, then train service to Km 104 "Entrance to the Inca Trail".
Trekking Km 104 "Chachabamba to Inti Punku, the Sun Gate
Today our hike takes us along the most impressive stretch of the Inca Trail. We will visit beautiful Inca sites, see a variety of flora and fauna and enjoy the fantastic views of the Andes Mountains. Covering 16 km of the trail, our journey begins in the Sacred Valley and climbs the original Inca Trail to the Inca site of Wiñay Wayna before continuing to Machu Picchu via the Sun Gate (Inti Punku).
As we drive to Machu Picchu, we will pass through the lush green cloud forest that covers the mountain and see a variety of plants, flowers and birds along the way. We can also see some larger mammals such as the Viscachas (rabbit-shaped chinchillas) and the Spectacled bears (if we are very lucky).
After a full day of walking, we will arrive at the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) in the late afternoon and we will get our first views of Machu Picchu spread out on the mountain below. The light at this time of day is great for photos because there are few tourists, so it is a perfect time to take some pictures of the site. After passing through the Puerta del Sol, we will continue along the trail a little before taking a side path that leads us to Aguas Calientes in the valley below, where we will check into our hotel.

Day 5: MACHUPICCHU "SUN RISE EXPERIENCE"

We will wake up early (04:00am) to take one of the first buses back to Machu Picchu to enter the site as soon as it opens (06:00am) we will have a 2 hour guided tour at the site where you will learn about the Incas and visit all the most important areas of the citadel. After the tour, you will have free time to explore the site by yourself and if you have permission to climb the Huayna Picchu (2 hours round trip) or the Machu Picchu mountain (3 hours round trip).
You will also have time to do some of the following activities on your own if you wish (not included in the price)
Climb the Huayna Picchu or the Machu Picchu Mountain and appreciate the beauty and magnificence of Machu Picchu from there.
Other optional activities in Aguas Calientes are a visit to the new local museum or a dip in the hot springs.
Return to Cusco: You will descend to Aguas Calientes by bus (included) and then board the Expedition train to the Ollantaytambo train station; the train departure time may vary according to schedule and availability. At the Ollantaytambo train station, you will meet our private van and be transferred to your hotel in Cusco.
The hike to the mountains of Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu depends on availability; please let us know if you wish to add one of these additional hikes at the time of your reservation.
We only take ITEP EcoTravel clients in our vans and cars. We do not use public transportation.
About the hotels in Machupicchu:
The hotels can change (be different according to your request) depending on the time of reservation and availability; it is also possible to camp on the Inca Trail 2d/1n, we just need to follow the conditions of the Machupicchu government or the restrictions made for security reasons by the Peruvian government.
Day 6: CUSCO - PUNO (The Sun route)

The tour lasts 10 hours approximately, where we will have 4 excursions and guided visits to the places of tourist interest of the south corridor of the altiplano visiting the temple of Andahuaylillas or Sistine Chapel of America, the Inka temple of Raqchi, the step of the Raya to 4335 msnm and the museum Inka Aymara of Pukara. The visits last from 20 to 40 minutes, in which the passenger will be able to ask questions, take pictures and explore the attraction at his own discretion for a certain time, making this experience an unforgettable one.
The Buffet Lunch: It consists of a variety of foods from the Andes with which they prepare typical food and international Novo Andina food, the diet includes vegetables, grains, red and white meats, varieties of salads, a selection of desserts and a variety of hot drinks, which are served in a comfortable typical restaurant in the city of Sicuani.

*If the hotel category is 4 or 5 stars the trip will be by train Perurail Titicaca, these departures will be only on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, if it does not coincide. The trip from Cusco to Puno will be by Tourist Bus.

Day 7: PUNO: TITICACA LAKE

At 7:00 am, our staff will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the port of Lake Titicaca, our local guide will be waiting for us with the boat to start our great adventure on Lake Titicaca. We will leave in the direction of Uros, on the way our guide will explain important points of this majestic lake, soon after we will arrive at the famous floating islands of the Uros.
We will make the excursion in the island of Uros, visiting its inhabitants and learning about customs of these communities that have lived for years in the highlands.
After visiting these, we will return to the boat and continue our trip towards the Island of Taquile.
We will sail for approximately 3 hours on the Titicaca in the direction of Taquile, a huge island that is characterized by its magnificent and beautiful fabrics.
Here you will have the opportunity to observe how people of the island produces splendid textiles such as ponchos, belts, gloves and other typical high after appreciating these beautiful handmade works, we will continue with the until we reach the top of the island, where we will walk along a beautiful path, somewhat inclined that offers spectacular landscapes of the lake.
The most advisable is to walk slowly, take it easy and enjoy as much as possible, since they are walking over 3800 meters high in a world.
Approximately 45 minutes later, we will arrive at the center of Taquile, where we will finally we will rest and visit a small site museum, which through photos shows aspects important part of the lives of the people of Taquile. We will have lunch in a typical restaurant around the after lunch, visitors will have free time to visit the workshops of the knitting and taking pictures with the friendly locals.
In the afternoon, we will go down to the pier and we will undertake our return trip to Puno, arriving in the city at approximately 05:00pm.

Day 8: PUNO OUT
